As the world emerges from the pandemic, communities have the opportunity to reframe their approaches to lifelong learning and education. Today we stand on the brink of the future - Are you interested in changing your community for the better? Would you like to play a role in re-envisioning your community’s future for the better and creating a society built on cooperation and learning?

If you answered “yes” to those questions, the Coalition of Lifelong Learning Organizations (COLLO) cordially invites you to view the concluding symposium in the four-part Learning Cities Series held on Friday, April 29, 2022. During this final session, entitled Building Your Learning Cities Framework, panelists shared the steps they took to develop and nurture the learning cities of Cork, Ireland; Manizales, Colombia; and Lowell, Massachusetts. Colleagues from UNESCO’s Institute of Lifelong Learning (UIL) will give an overview of the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC), present the website and publications, and give a little more insight on their work.
